AROUND SCALA

ABOUT US

Scala is a dedicated centre for Redemptorist Youth Ministry. As a team of Redemptorists and lay people, we have been working with young people in Cork since 1988. In 1997, Scala moved to Bessboro in Blackrock, from where retreats and leadership programs such as Meitheal are facilitated. There is also a resident community on site. The team is made up of five Redemptorists, three full time lay ministers and two volunteers. Members of the team are also involved in conducting Parish missions, retreats and novenas, in counselling and in hospital chaplaincy.
