Facilities for hire

 

Scala is situated amid 2 acres of beautifully landscaped gardens and offers modern and fully equipped facilities for conferencing up to 160 people. With complementary internet access, it also provides AV connectivity in all its rooms. Tea and coffee making facilities are available, and Scala is happy to recommend outside caterers for larger groups and functions.

 

In addition to public car parks adjacent to Scala, up to 55 cars can be accommodated on the grounds of Scala itself. Scala is accessible by public transport on the 202 bus route from Parnell Place to St. Luke’s Home/Ringmahon Road (Terminus).

 

The following spaces are available for hire:

 

• Liguori Room:

Located in the original house, the Liguori Room offers an experience of comfort and privacy in a beautiful Georgian setting. With ceiling to floor windows that overlook the gardens, it is ideal for board meetings or small group sessions of up to 25 people. Together with complementary internet access, the Liguori Room has a 50” plasma screen with AV and DVD connectivity.

 

• The Conference Centre:

The Conference Centre is adjacent to the original house and was designed to blend in with the rustic ambiance created by the gardens and mature trees. The large windows invite the outside in, giving a sense of being at the heart of nature. It features a dedicated raised presentation area, AV and internet facilities and its own built-in PA sound system with deaf loop. It has a capacity to sit 160 people theatre style, making it a unique venue in the area.

 

In order to maximise functionality, the conference centre can be sub-divided by acoustic partitions into a two or three room venue. In a three room configuration, the following spaces are available for individual rental:

 

Majella Room

Comprising the top half of the conference centre space, with the presentation area, this large seminar room can seat up to 80 people theatre style. It is ideal for formal presentations, workshops and seminars that require space for movement and interaction.

 

Hofbauer Room

Situated to the front of the building, the Hofbauer Room can accommodate up to 30 people seated and is ideal for small group work or meeting space.

 

Seelos Room

Set to the back of the conference centre, the Seelos Room has views on the back garden with its bank of trees. Also suitable for up to 30 people, it offers a sense of calm that makes it ideal for reflective work. 

 

All rooms are equipped with solid wood worktops and have AV and internet connectivity.

 

• Café:

Scala has its own dedicated café space with tea and coffee service facilities. Situated in the basement of the original house, its blends the old world charm with youthful vibrancy. With its front patio area, the café can seat 65 comfortably inside with the same again outside.
